Entry #10

Sarina and I have mainly been working on editing, but I think we have a few more videos planned out. We're going to finish these videos up, and then focus mainly on editing. I think that editing is going to be a really big challenge, due to the sheer amount of filming time that we had. At this point, I feel that the aesthetics of the  show don't matter that much anymore. What matters is the complete project, and making as many videos as we can. However, I feel that the sheer amount of work that Sarina and I did isn't going to be shown in the number of videos that we made, but in the number of recipes that we completed. We still haven't had time to do filming for a while, so we haven't filmed anything new. But, I know we plan to work on it over spring break in order to get more videos done.  I'm still feeling pretty solid about this project and where we're going with it, although the time constraint is starting to worry me a bit.

Entry #9

So far, the project has been going pretty well. However, Sarina and I have been having some problems with time management on the weekends. We'll probably have another day where we do a whole bunch of recipes in one day. We are continuing the video editing, and a new exciting development has been the design of our cooking videos. We started picking out the title screen and the font and those sort of things. We're also going to be choosing a background music for the show. On Friday, there should be a lot of editing done. I'm also really excited for the blooper reel that we're going to make. I think that that's going to be one of the best parts of our project. However, Sarina and I have been having a bit of a problem choosing new recipes to try out. We should be moving into recipes that are more challenging,  but it's a bit difficult choosing which ones to do, brcause we don't want to choose a recipe that takes like 4 hours to do, but we want it to be challenging enough for us so we can push our comfort zone a bit.

This is a link to a photo of pho. I'm considering doing this for an introduction video, although I'd probably be bringing some of my family's pho to Sarina and not making it, because pho is a really complicated dish to make.

Entry #8

So last weekend, Sarina and I filmed three videos, which comprise of 8 recipes. We each did 2 chicken wing recipes, drinks, and introductory videos. Specifically, the recipes I did were a flan,  Vietnamese-style nuoc mam (fish sauce) chicken wing, a simple spicy Sriracha chicken wing, and a raspberry Italian soda. The ones Sarina made were a lemon pepper chicken wing, a garlic Sriracha chicken wing, a coffee cake in a cup, and a chocolate milkshake. This was a lot of filming, and took about seven hours total to finish and clean up. So the video count is now up to five, but I would still like maybe another eight or nine videos, so that we can really have a bit of a collection. So tomorrow in class, the process will continue. I will start planning more videos, and Sarina will begin to edit the newly-filmed ones. I'm still excited about cooking more recipes and eating them. The final product is coming along well, although there is still some editing to be done.
